STATION harbors a dark secret. Beneath its floorboards, an ancient underground tunnel lurks. Alice Forward invites participants to embark on an exciting drawing experience involving low-light and no-light conditions under the waxing moon at STATION on the harbour-side for the two hours leading to midnight. This exploration is a journey to discover new ways of .seeing. in the dark. Materials provided, but bring your own torch, bar and wrap up warm.
BIO~
Alice Forward works with continuously varying materials and techniques that involve drawing, sculptural installation-work, video and film-making. She recently completed an MA in Fine Art at Cardiff, during which she was invited to take part in the 2006 Bienal de Bogotà in Colombia, South America, and became specialist in the habits of plants and migration. She worked on The Seeds of Change project at the Arnolfini, and performed Going Bird with Louise Short at Stroud Valley Arts in 2007. She co-founded Jackdaw Studios at Paintworks this year, and is currently resident, underground, at STATION, working on a rhizomatic drawing project.
