People often attempt to get back to nature, but most fail by involving
technology in the process. If you wear your computer designed
trainers, ride your mountain bike or watch nature on television you
will ever succeed.

7400 sheets of A4 paper were stuck to a rock face in the Avon Gorge. An image
of my left hand was created using a mix of 1500 photocopies of my hand and 5800
blank sheets.

It took 16 days to complete and work could only be carried out at high
tide every 12 hours, when I could get water from the River Avon to mix
the flour based glue.

Each photocopied sheet had the words "Is it possible that our
obsession with sex is due to our alienation from nature by our
technology ?"

I started off by photocopying my hand, then I scanned it into a
computer, reduced the definition and printed it out. This produced a
pixelated image from which I could compile 7300 sheets of A4, ready to
be taken to the rock in the Avon Gorge known as 'The Slab' or 'Donkey Slide'.

Halfway through though, many of the sheets were washed of in a great storm
and had to be replaced.

Several people slid off the rock during installation, but none were seriously injured.

Everyday, I was saluted by passing cars and ships.

On the final day, the National Trust Ranger caught me, but he did not have
the resources to detain me or remove the fly poster. We agreed that I would
dispose of the paper as it eventually fell to the ground.

This must be the biggest fly poster in the world.
