It was still unclear who would cross, but after some discusion and
signing of legal waivers, the team was finalised as davide balula and
myself.
So we set off:
Avoiding anything large.
Eventually arriving in germany, on an island instead of the mainland.
After some rest went progressed to what we thought was the mainland
and made camp.
After some more rest we realised we were on another island and finally
crossed to the mainland to be picked up.
Night crossing would be more of a risk in terms of collisions with
large objects.
Taking a map of the waterways would help considerably.
