We come to this decision as tenants of the site which we sub-let from Bristol City Council, on the grounds that it breaks the conditions of our third party liability insurance. There is a definite risk of someone (especially a child) injuring themselves or others. We are also concerned about the amount of damage and erosion that has been caused to this local nature reserve. Please remove the swing permanently before the end of September 2009 and return the site as much as possible to its original condition or we will have to remove it from the site. And please do not erect any more swings on the nature reserve. If you would like to understand more about our decision and learn more about the site in general please come along to our next meeting at the Miners Arms on October the 29th at 8pm or purchase a booklet from the city farm cafe to find out the background to Narroways. All work to maintain Narroways is done on a voluntary basis and we need and depend on local co-operation to keep it as a natural breathing place, free to local people and good for wildlife.
